ANTT discloses credit conditions for highway concessions

All projects will have identical conditions, including TJLP plus 2% per year.

Brasília – The National Land Transport Agency (ANTT) published on its website the conditions that will be adopted by the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES), Caixa and Banco do Brasil to finance projects for future concessionaires of federal highways BR-364/ 060/MT/GO, BR-163/230/MT/PA, BR-364/GO/MG and BR-476/153/282/480, sections that will be auctioned by the government.

As anticipated on Monday, 9, the Broadcast, real-time information service of Agência Estado, all projects will have identical conditions, including TJLP plus 2% per year.

The three banks will also be able to finance up to 70% of the highway concessionaire's total investment. The financing term will be 25 years, with a grace period of up to 5 years and amortization over 20 years.

The three banks' credit for highway concessions may also include financing for expropriations.

The document released by ANTT also brings rules for the so-called bridge loan, a kind of preliminary financing that guarantees resources for infrastructure works until the definitive operations are closed.

In this case, banks finance up to 30% of the volume of long-term financing, also with TJLP plus 2% per year. Disbursements will begin within 90 days of signing the concession contract.
