Among the main reasons for young people leaving the profession are low wages, increased cargo theft, poor road conditions, and distance from family. "We drive, but we don't know if we'll come home. I have a five-year-old son and I don't know if I'll see him again," said truck driver Tiago Santos de Souza.

The challenge is concerning because 62% of everything produced in Brazil depends on road transport. According to the Institute of Logistics and Supply Chain (ILOS), this lack of skilled professionals could compromise long-term economic growth.
