According to a survey conducted in 15 countries, 81% of Brazilian distribution companies expect to increase their productivity by more than 20% in the next three to five years. For 79% of them, this leap will only be possible with the adoption of advanced technologies. This optimism, however, coexists with a still harsh operational reality.
In 2025, transportation costs in Brazil will exceed R$ 940 billion, an increase of almost 7% compared to the previous year, according to ILOS. This figure reflects the historical dependence on road transport and the differences in road quality between regions, factors that continue to put pressure on costs and deadlines. In warehouses, the scenario is no simpler: between 2022 and 2023, storage costs rose from 18% to 23%, driven by low demand predictability and a lack of integration between management systems.
