With cabotage navigation, Port of Antonina projects growth of 65% for 2023

According to data from the Institute of Logistics and Supply Chain (Ilos), around 22 million tons of cargo transported by road could be delivered by ships, if cabotage were more encouraged. One of the obstacles was the requirement, until last year, that cabotage be carried out only by Brazilian-flagged ships, which greatly restricted operations. A Cabotage Law, sanctioned at the beginning of 2022, removed this restriction, which boosts the modality with more ship offers.
