The company faced complex challenges, including a lack of synergy between its business units and inefficient operations, in addition to not having a Supply Chain area capable of evaluating its chain as a whole.
Each aspect of the company's operations was analyzed in search of opportunities to reduce costs and improve service and operational levels.
To solve the problems identified, ILOS developed an inventory policy aligned with the company's strategy, suggested changes in the carrier profile and the application of purchasing strategies by product category. It also proposed the creation of an area dedicated to Supply Chain, among other actions.
The result of this effort would lead the company to achieve a reduction of up to 10% in operating costs and a 65% reduction in average transit time within the national territory. In addition, a 23% reduction in inventory costs and a 3% saving in product purchasing costs were estimated.
