ILOS implements S&OP process in port terminal, allowing better use of operational capacity

A large company specializing in port operations focused its demand information sharing and planning processes on the very short term, with little visibility into the medium and long term. As a result, it faced difficulties in optimizing the use of all its handling capacity and taking advantage of all available commercial opportunities.

ILOS carried out a project for this company with the aim of improving demand planning. A customized S&OP process with structured meetings was created, and a demand forecasting tool and a BI of indicators were developed.

For six months, ILOS monitored the implementation of the new demand planning process, adjusting materials as needed and guiding meetings to maximize the benefits of the process.

With the new process, the company began to use its capacity more efficiently and gained greater visibility of medium and long-term demand.
