Logistics costs in the country tend to reach a “total record of the historical series” this year, approaching something around 13,3% of Gross Domestic Product (GDP), compared to 12,6% registered in 2020, projects Maurício Lima, managing partner of the Institute of Logistics and Supply Chain (Ilos). The forecast considers factors such as an increase in capital costs, which made carrying inventories more expensive, the rise in diesel prices and their impact on transport costs, in addition to the expectation of low GDP growth, affecting the denominator in this account.
