Once again, the Valor Econômico newspaper published the Valor Setorial Logística magazine. This year, the main focus was on obstacles to Brazilian exports.
The ILOS commented in this magazine on the logistical problems of Brazilian foreign trade, problems that range from difficulties with domestic transport to the cost of goods stopped in bureaucratic processes.
The Doing Business survey commissioned by the World Bank shows that Brazil is the 149th country in the ranking of trade in the world, a ranking that takes into account the time and logistical cost to export.
With Brazilian export and import volumes down, Brazil's outflow infrastructure seems less bottlenecked, which could generate a perception of temporary “improvement” in the country's logistics services. However, even with this reduction in volumes handled, Brazil did not surpass the countries of South America or the Bric countries in the World Bank ranking.

* The ranking takes into account the time and cost to export a country's main export product, leaving its main city and traveling along the main route.
I recommend reading the March/2017 Valor Setorial Logística Magazine. The subjects are essential for those who work with the theme.
