Technical Missions

For over 20 years, ILOS has organized International Missions aimed at Brazilian executives and entrepreneurs. Each International Mission is planned and organized with an experienced international partner in conjunction with our partner team.

The main objectives of the Missions are:

  • Expand business knowledge globally and explore practices and solutions adopted in different countries.
  • It allows the participant to compare in practice the dynamics of the business context in each region and their ways of reacting to the world scenario.
  • Promotes exchange and networking between communities that study and practice logistics and supply chain around the world.

Merging expository lectures and technical visits to renowned companies and institutions, the participant intensively receives valuable information and insights during his trip.

The International Missions have simultaneous translation, exclusive bus chartered especially for the group and accompaniment of one or more ILOS members. This accompaniment is the great differential of our missions.

The Midwest is in the heart of the USA, close to some of the country's largest metropolitan areas and bordered by the Mississippi River.
It is the largest producer of soybeans and corn in the USA, and can also be called the North American Mato Grosso.

Brazil is the fourth largest buyer of products from the region in the world! Almost 1/3 of the 100 largest food industries in the USA operate in Iowa and other states.

The region is the country's leader in the production of biofuel – ethanol and biodiesel.

It spends almost 30% more on bioscience research than other North American states.

Logistics in Europe differs from the world standard due to the high costs of personnel and facilities, as well as the greater awareness of the use of natural resources. This generates a high level of operational complexity that drives companies to adopt innovative and integrated solutions in sustainability, transport and storage and information technology.

Port infrastructure and multimodal transport deserve to be highlighted in the logistics of this continent. The level of sophistication in the integration of different modes of transport is a great reference to be followed in Brazil. In addition to the excellent roads, railways and traditional waterways, the exporter/importer has well-structured ports at its disposal, such as Rotterdam (Holland) and Antwerp (Belgium).

In this sense, the program of this international technical mission aims to give executives the opportunity to analyze the challenges arising from the Brazilian reality based on successful practices on the European continent.

This training program is developed in partnership with the Luxembourg Center for Logistics and Supply Chain Management – University of Luxembourg and consists of technical visits that will take place between the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, as well as expository sessions, taught by renowned specialists in the sector.

The programming of this international technical mission comprises a wide range of operations and logistical processes of companies from different sectors. Management issues will be addressed, at tactical and strategic levels, as well as others related to infrastructure, with emphasis on rail transport, ports and terminals. Aspects related to Asia's insertion in the global competitive scenario will also be discussed, as well as those within the scope of the business environment, considering local culture and practices. The objective is to provide participants with knowledge of the practices of companies that have adopted Asia as a key platform in their global strategies.

ILOS develops on-demand International Technical Missions for companies. After a meeting to align interests, our team searches for the best options for location, date, visit and route, developing a customized trip for the groups.
