We are less than two weeks away from the main meeting of logistics executives in the country, the XXII International Supply Chain Forum and Expo Logística. And during the event, ILOS usually conducts a survey among its participants to map the sector's professional profile. Last year, 91% of respondents held some leadership position, from junior management (15%), through middle management (33%), top management (24%), directors (12%), vice-presidency (3% ) to presidency (3%).

As in previous editions, the audience continued to be predominantly male, representing 85% of participants in 2015. All respondents had some training, with 52% already having a postgraduate degree, 27% a master's degree and 3% a doctorate. The most representative training was engineering (53%), followed by administration (29%).
Most participants work in transport (70%) and almost half have a role related to storage (48%), material/inventory management (45%) or customer service (45%). Among the least representative functions are IT (3%) and foreign trade (6%). Finally, 24% of the participants work in demand planning, 18% in purchasing and supplies, 15% in production and 12% in consulting/training.
As you can see, most professionals have a multifunctional nature, as they work in more than one logistical role, which requires diversified technical and behavioral skills. To work in these functions, it dedicates, on average, 102 hours a year to its development with face-to-face or online training.
