Last year (2016) I wrote here a post about online courses, indicating the percentage of logistics and supply executives who had already completed some type of training over the internet.
ILOS redid this survey in 2017 and the trends were confirmed: 65% of professionals in this area had already taken some type of online course in 2017, the highest percentage registered since 2014, when only 28% of professionals had experienced this type of training in the web.

Technology is definitely inserted in the area of education, and schools, from basic to higher education, will really need to review their way of teaching. Presence courses will probably always exist, but the resources developed for distance training will have to be incorporated.
We are already living the new era of education. And this is also demonstrated in the themes of the most sought after courses. Current affairs such as Omnichannel entered the list of courses of greatest interest to Brazilian logistics executives, disputing space with classic themes such as Logistics Costs and Transport. This implies a great challenge for both logistics professionals and education professionals, who must be at the forefront of knowledge and be able to work on new topics, with few bibliographical references and few consolidated examples, at the same time that they need to use a new learning platform, taking advantage of all available technological resources.
The following chart shows the courses that logistics and supply executives most intend to take in the coming years.

ILOS offers a number of them, online and/or face-to-face. For those who are interested, I suggest the following links for more information.
