Among the losses that poor roads can cause to the economy are issues such as loss of competitiveness due to increased “logistics cost”, which today in Brazil is 12% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) while countries like the United States is around 7%, according to the study Logistics Costs in Brazil, by the Institute of Logistics and Supply Chain (Ilos).
